FAQ #01

How does your service work?:

Our service is simple.  Clients post details of their project on our website, via the Project Registration Page.  When completed, submitted and verified these details are then made available to architectural professionals.  Apart from the contact details provided, all of the project information is made available.  In accordance with the client selection, a limited number of professionals that want to respond to the project posting then pay to access the contact details.  Clients are subsequently contacted by these professionals to discuss their project and make further arrangements.  The aim is to provide clients with a number of quotations from architectural professionals that are genuinely interested and suitable for undertaking their project.

Where does your service operate?:

Internationally.  While our current focus is on the English-speaking world, clients from anywhere with access to the internet, are free to post their project details on our website.  Similarly, architectural professionals from around the globe are welcome to respond to project postings, as long as payment can be made using an acceptable card.  If interested in working abroad, please refer to FAQ #11, before proceeding.

Can anybody use your service?:

Unless prohibited, anybody that is able to use our service is very welcome to do so.  Besides accepting our Privacy and Terms policies, we only require that clients submit legitimate project information in English, and that professionals possess verifiable accreditations and qualifications which are appropriate for the projects they pursue.

Is registration required?:

No.  However, registration is free and provides an enhanced service.  For repeat clients, such as builders and property developers, registration can save time by automatically populating some of the fields within the Project Registration Page.  Client registration also provides access to a profile page where current and completed project postings can be viewed.  Architectural professionals are not obliged to register either, but there are distinct benefits for those who do.  For instance, the names of registered professionals that respond to a posting are included in the project response emails sent to clients.  Clients therefore anticipate being contacted by the registered professionals interested in their project.  Other advantages include archived project data, along with the facility to monitor active project posting responses.

What happens with the information submitted to you?:

With the exception of contact details, information that is submitted on the Project Registration Page is made publicly available on our website and social media feeds.  We only make project contact details available to a maximum of five architectural professionals that then want to respond to a posting.  This is so that expressions of interest and quotations can be obtained.  For a detailed explanation of what happens with the information submitted to us, please refer to our policy on Privacy.

What is the benefit of your service to me?:

For architectural professionals, the principal benefit of our service is in sourcing new projects.  Payment is only required for accessing the contact details of postings that interest you, with all the other project information being freely available.  Besides being much more cost-effective than advertising, our service also has the potential to save you time and reduce your travel costs by highlighting projects in the region where you work.  By registering with us, it is also possible to request email notifications of the project postings most likely to interest you.

How much does it cost to access project contact details?:

We charge a small, fixed-fee for accessing project contact details and these are made available to a maximum of five professionals per project posting.  There are no joining fees or subscription payments and we do not charge any commission on the work that you do.  Excluding any applicable local taxes, our current rates are as follows:

Can I find out when projects of interest have been posted?:

Yes.  Registered architectural professionals can request email notifications to let them know of project postings that are likely to interest them.  If you would rather not register, you can still find the latest project postings of interest to you by visiting our Projects Page.  You can also keep up-to-date with all our project postings by following us on Facebook and Twitter, or via our RSS feeds.

FAQ #09

Can I buy more than one set of contact details for a project?:

No.  Clients specify whether they want to receive three, four or five responses to their posting.  Purchasing more than one set of contact details for a particular project would be contrary to this objective and is therefore prohibited.

FAQ #10

Is there a limit to the number of projects I may respond to?:

No.  You are free to respond to as many project postings as you wish.  Nevertheless, it is important to ensure that you can provide adequate resources and skills for the combined workload of all projects in which you express an interest.

Can I respond to postings for projects in any country?:

Projects in different countries can provide exciting new challenges and greatly enrich your portfolio.  However, before purchasing contact details for work to be undertaken abroad, it is important to check the regional preferences that have been selected or provided in the project posting.  There is no point in responding to a project posting for work in Chicago if the client has expressed a desire for designers based locally or nationally, and you live in Calcutta!  When assessing the viability of carrying out an overseas project it is also important to investigate any insurance or regulatory implications.  In addition, the ability to successfully deliver a project abroad is enhanced significantly by partnering with a practice based locally to the proposal or with experience in that region.

Do you provide refunds?:

If you are unable to get in touch with a prospective client because the project contact details accessed through our website prove incorrect, simply inform us within 60 days and we will issue a full refund for that purchase.  Please be aware that refunds may take up to 30 days to appear on a credit or debit card statement.

FAQ #13

How do I add or update accreditations?:

You can indicate professional institution and trade organisation memberships by registering with us for free.  Accreditations can be added during the registration process and updated on the Professionals Profile Page.  It is important that your accreditations are accurate and adjusted when appropriate.  Please note that, in the interests of clients, we reserve the right to verify accreditations and to inform relevant bodies of any discrepancies.

What information about me is made available to others?:

When a set of project contact details have been accessed for the first time, the prospective client is notified by email.  If the details have been accessed by an architectural professional that is registered with us, the client email notification will display the individual or practice name, along with any accreditations that have been provided in their profile.  Apart from this, the information supplied by professionals to our website is considered confidential and we will not make it available to the general public.  For a detailed explanation of the information about you that may be made available to others, please refer to our policy on Privacy.

Do you take any involvement in the projects posted?:

No.  Our service provides a means for establishing contact between prospective clients and architectural professionals.  We do not take any involvement in the projects posted on our website.
